What to expect on your first visit to Total Wellness Massage.

For new clients, especially those that have never experienced a Remedial Massage, the below information outlines our processes and what you can expect during your first appointment at Total Wellness Massage.

Arrive 5 minutes before your appointment to complete the required forms.

This information is entered and stored in our secure clinic software. Our therapists will review the medical information provided and will tailor the massage to address issues/concerns you have raised.

The therapist will show you to the treatment room, and if necessary, will complete a series of Orthopaedic Tests.

These tests will highlight to the therapist specific areas that require attention during the massage.

The therapist will leave the room and allow you to get settled and ready for the massage.

During the massage, the therapist will explain why they are massaging different muscle groups and ask you to move your arms or legs to assist with the massage. If you would prefer not to be spoken to during the massage this is perfectly understandable and is respected. If this is your preference, to help us respect your wishes we do ask you to notify the therapist before the massage commences.

If applicable, on conclusion of the massage the therapist will show you some recommended stretches to keep you moving well between appointments.

After the massage, the therapist will meet you at the reception desk for claiming of your private health, payment and recommended rebooking. You will also be advised to drink plenty of water.

We are currently looking for a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist to join to Total Wellness Massage Team.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Diploma of Remedial Massage
First aid certificate
Professional indemnity insurance
Accredited association Member
Medibank Provider approved
Preferably 2 years experience but not essential
Must be enthusiastic and motivated
Good communication skills and a professional attitude are essential

Tasks & Responsibilities

Perform Remedial Massage
Greet Clients
Receipt Clients
Make Bookings
Take Phone Calls
General Cleaning Duties
Actively source new clients
Attend events and other promotional activities when they arise
